Job Opportunities and Audition Announcements
Job opening for bass instructor at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito,
Ecuador. Very supportive environment, great colleagues and opportunity for
growth. The position is a one-year, (two-semester) contract with option to
re-new for a second year if both parties mutually agree. Teachers can
usually save a substantial amount of their salary, as housing is included as
well as local health insurance (in many cases better than the States), and
round-trip airfare. The teaching load is mainly private students and a few
ensembles. Although musicianship, performing skills and experience are
important, the emphasis will be on teaching. Knowledge of Spanish a plus!
